Quick-drying fibers ensure the jacket remains in excellent condition throughout use.

         Heat Seal

Heat Seal is a modern technology used by Columbia. To keep the down insulation in place, it requires the use of chambers to prevent it from shifting or sagging down the jacket. Traditionally, these chambers are created by stitching threads on sewing machines.

Columbia has gone a step further, introducing seamless chambers created by welding the material. This prevents the outer material from being punctured by sewing needles, preventing the down from escaping and increasing wind and water resistance.

 

       Omni-Shield™

Omni-Shield™ technology   provides a barrier against both water and contaminants, allowing you to enjoy cleaner clothes longer. Fabrics with Omni-Shield™ technology are coated with a layer that is resistant to external factors up to 76°C. This layer also protects against unwanted discoloration of the fabric.

Garments with Omni-Shield™ technology dry 3 to 5 times faster because they don't store moisture like traditional fabrics.

This technology is used primarily in the production of children's clothing. It's so effective that even a disaster like spilling orange or tomato juice doesn't harm the clothing.
